What happened
The committee ordered 4,000 identical Krapfen from a bakery that had never made more than 200, and learned what 'batch variance' means. Guests were sorted into castes, Alpha through Epsilon, by how early they arrived. The doors opened 40 minutes late, so everyone was an Epsilon, which the minutes call 'a very equal evening'.
