An Island From Scratch
Vienna began building a 21-kilometer island out of dug-up riverbed. Generated content, but for land.

What happened
The festival took place on the first few meters of the new island, which was a pile of wet gravel and a sign. Guests were handed shovels and told they were co-creating the venue. Christo offered to wrap it and was told it was not finished yet. Several hundred cubic meters were moved. Engineers later moved them back.
